Con todos sus errores, la película Magical Mistery Tour tiene un lugar especial en el corazón de Paul: contiene la única performance de Los Beatles de I am the Walrus. Tiene razón!

Esta es una canción muy significativa de Los Beatles, fue escrita en lo mejor de la sicodelia, y aún allí brillaba sobre las otras, cuando los amantes de la música moderna no tenían el beneficio de los cuarenta años que hoy tiene ese periodo. Walrus era única y todavía lo es.

El mismo John afirmaba que no había que tratar de encontrarle sentido a la letra de I am the walrus, porque nadie se lo va a hallar, the bloody song doesn't make any sense , dijo el genio en más de alguna vez. Sentido lógico basado en la realidad no tiene, porque para quien está viajando en ácido y oye esta rola, tiene todo el sentido del mundo (es lo que he oído.)

SABIAS QUE...
*Lennon le dijo a Plpay Boy que Wlrus se la inspiró el poema de Lewis Carrol "Walrus and the Carpenter".

*John escribió la primera línea ("I am he as you are he and you are me and we are all together")un fin de semana que estaba en ácido, y la segunda línea ("see how they run like pigs from a gun see how they fly"), en ácido también el siguiente fin de semana. Dice que el resto de la letra lo rellenó despues de conocer a Yoko.

*Como en "Happines is a warm Gun", Walrus está compuesta por tres canciones en una.

*La canción fue banead en un principio por la BBC de Londres por la parte de la chica mala que permite que le bajen los calzones ("naughty girl who let her knickers down".)

*Las versiones de esta canción del Reino Unido y de Estados Unidos difieren un poco. El sencillo de Estados Unidos tiene unos golpes extra en el medio y la versión de Reino Unido tiene el riff the la introdicción repetida seis veces no cuatro ( Yo tengo las dos.)
