Toda la cosa es sobre un poster Victoriano que compré en una tienda, tan lindamente cósmico. Es un poster de una feria que pudo haber ocurrido en los 1800.

Qué manera de terminar el lado A del Sargent Pepper's! Después de disfrutar de clásicas como Con una Pequeña Ayuda de mis Amigos y Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, viene John y nos mete a un circo del siglo XIX. Mr Kite nos transporta a otro tiempo y lugar. Otra característica beatleniana, con facilidad te mandan a su antojo a donde ellos quieren en el tiempo y el espacio. Encarna una imaginación que rechaza límites para crear algo nuevo abrazndo el pasado, el poster es el pasado, la innovación de la canción es lo nuevo. Solo Los Beatles podían hacer eso!

SABIAS QUE...
*Algunos interprertan que "Henry the Horse" hace referencia a heroína, acusando a John de glamorizar esa droga. John rechaza esa bayuncada en PLay Boy: "En ese periodo yo nunca había visto heroína; no, es todo sobre el poster. La canción es pura, como una pintura en acuarela"

*Fanque fue el primer propietario negro de un circo en Inglaterra, su nombre real era William Darby, había nacido en Norwich en 1796 y comenzó a llamarse Pablo Fanque en 1830; murió en 1871 en Stokport, Lankashire.
